Environmental Policy
Blonde Limited Last updated: May 2026
Blonde Limited is committed to minimising the environmental impact of our operations and promoting sustainable practices across all aspects of our work. As a creative production studio, we recognise our responsibility to operate in an environmentally conscious manner — while remaining practical and proportionate to the scale and nature of our business.
Our commitment
We are committed to:
- Reducing our environmental footprint wherever reasonably possible
- Complying with all relevant environmental legislation and regulations
- Encouraging sustainable practices across our productions, suppliers and partners
- Continuously reviewing and improving our environmental performance
Our approach
As a service-based business, our environmental impact primarily relates to travel, energy use and production activity. We manage this responsibly through the following measures.
1. Sustainable production practices
- Considering environmental impact during project planning and delivery
- Minimising unnecessary travel through remote working and digital collaboration where appropriate
- Using local crew and suppliers where feasible, to reduce travel-related emissions
- Encouraging efficient use of equipment and resources on set
- Reducing waste during production through careful planning and resource management
2. Energy and resource use
- Operating primarily as a digital business to reduce paper consumption
- Encouraging energy-efficient practices in office and remote working environments
- Minimising waste and promoting reuse and recycling wherever possible
- Using digital delivery and storage solutions in place of physical media where appropriate
3. Travel and transport
- Prioritising public transport where practical
- Planning production schedules efficiently to reduce unnecessary travel
- Encouraging consolidated travel arrangements for crew and equipment
- Considering environmental impact when planning domestic and international shoots
4. Suppliers and freelancers
- Working with suppliers and freelancers who share a commitment to responsible and sustainable practices
- Considering environmental factors when selecting partners, where feasible
- Encouraging collaborators to adopt environmentally responsible behaviours on production
Industry alignment
Blonde Limited is committed to aligning with evolving industry best practice in sustainable production.
We are informed by initiatives such as AdGreen, albert, and Ad Net Zero, which support the advertising and screen industries in reducing environmental impact and working towards a lower-carbon future.
Where appropriate, we adopt practical measures and tools from these frameworks — including the use of carbon calculation tools such as the AdGreen Carbon Calculator — to improve our approach to sustainable production.
A recent example of this in practice: on UCB’s Advantage Hers campaign with Caroline Wozniacki — a global production filmed across the UK, France and Canada — we delivered a 75% reduction in the campaign’s carbon footprintcompared with previous productions of similar scale, through careful planning, consolidated travel, and efficient use of crew and resources.
Continuous improvement
We recognise that sustainability is an ongoing process. Blonde Limited is committed to:
- Periodically reviewing our environmental practices
- Identifying opportunities to improve sustainability across our operations
- Remaining informed about best practices within the production and advertising industries
- Taking proportionate steps to enhance our environmental performance over time
Responsibility
Responsibility for implementing this policy sits with the company directors.
All employees, freelancers and collaborators are encouraged to support these commitments and contribute to reducing environmental impact wherever possible.
Review
This policy will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect changes in legislation, operations and industry best practice.
