Modern Slavery Statement

Last updated: May 2026

This statement is made on a voluntary basis by Blonde Limited in support of the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Although our annual turnover falls below the threshold at which a statement is legally required, we are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, and to publishing our approach openly.

Who we are

Blonde Limited is an independent creative studio based in London. We provide creative production, film, photography and design services to agencies and brands across the UK and internationally.

We are a small team supported by a wider network of trusted freelance crew, production specialists, post-production houses, animators, photographers, equipment suppliers and location partners — all engaged on a project-by-project basis.

Our commitment

We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. We are committed to ensuring that:

  • No form of slavery, servitude, forced labour or human trafficking takes place within our own operations
  • We work only with suppliers, freelancers and partners who share our values around fair treatment, dignity at work, and ethical business practice
  • Our workforce — whether permanent, freelance, or contracted — is treated fairly, paid properly, and given safe working conditions
  • We take steps to identify and act on any risk of modern slavery within our supply chain

Our business and supply chain

Most of the work we deliver is produced in the UK and Europe, with occasional production in North America, Australia and other international locations.

Our typical supply chain includes:

  • Freelance crew (directors, producers, camera operators, sound recordists, makeup artists, stylists, photographers)
  • Post-production partners (editors, colourists, animators, sound designers, VFX specialists)
  • Equipment hire companies
  • Location and facility providers
  • Travel and accommodation providers
  • Talent agencies and casting services
  • Our own back-office suppliers (accountants, IT, hosting, software)

We consider the risk of modern slavery within our supply chain to be low overall, given that most of our suppliers are UK-based, regulated professional service providers, or established production partners.

Our approach

We take the following steps to maintain ethical standards across our work:

Freelance crew and partners — We engage freelancers on fair contractual terms, with clear payment terms, agreed rates, and proper credit on the work. We work primarily with crew we know personally or who come recommended by trusted industry contacts.

International production — When filming outside the UK, we work with vetted local production partners who operate within their country’s employment and labour laws. We ensure crew on international shoots are paid fairly and treated with the same standards we would expect in the UK.

Supplier selection — We choose suppliers based on trust, quality, and ethical reputation. We are willing to walk away from any supplier whose practices fall short of our standards.

Speaking up — Anyone working with Blonde — whether permanent, freelance, or contracted — can raise concerns about modern slavery, labour practices, or ethical issues directly with the founders. We treat all such concerns confidentially.

Responsibility

Responsibility for this statement and for our approach to modern slavery sits with the directors of Blonde Limited.

This statement will be reviewed annually and updated as our business evolves.
