You Need To Know: Part Two

NHS & The Eve Appeal

Following the success of the original You Need to Know campaign — which scooped a best in class award at the prestigious Communique awards and earned a Bronze at the PM Society Awards — we were proud to be entrusted once again by aktHealth, the NHS North East London Cancer Alliance and The Eve Appeal to build on and expand this important initiative.

The second phase of You Need to Know continued to focus on raising awareness of cervical screening, with a vital new objective: ensuring the campaign reached and resonated with even more women across diverse communities.

This time, we produced a series of powerful, relatable films and beautiful photography featuring three women — representing British, Lithuanian, and Turkish backgrounds — each sharing their own perspectives and experiences.

To ensure accessibility and relevance, three separate films were developed — in English, Lithuanian, and Turkish — allowing the campaign’s crucial messages to reach women in their preferred language, and to address cultural nuances with authenticity and sensitivity.

Our creative approach remained grounded in honesty, compassion, and clarity, collaborating closely with our three community representatives to ensure cultural sensitivity, while preserving the direct tone that made the first phase so impactful.

The resulting content speaks directly to audiences who are often underrepresented in healthcare communications, reinforcing a message of empowerment: you have the right to information, and you deserve the best care.

The campaign was rolled out across digital platforms, healthcare settings, and community events, helping to spark conversations, break down barriers, and encourage more women from different cultural backgrounds to attend their cervical screenings.

You Need to Know stands as another proud example of how meaningful storytelling can drive real-world change.
