The Brief
e2save, the value-focused arm of Currys PLC, set out to break the myth that affordable phones mean compromise. Their goal was clear: position mid-tier mobile devices as smart, capable alternatives to pricey flagships, and inject personality into the brand through an eye-catching, humorous campaign. The creative brief centered on one big idea — with the money you save on a great mobile deal, “Now You Can” afford to treat yourself to the things you really want.
The Idea
Blonde conceived and delivered a trilogy of quirky, fast-paced, character-driven films that made the benefits of choosing e2save instantly relatable and memorably entertaining. Each film was a self-contained comedy sketch, delivering visual punchlines around the joys of saving money.
Efficient Production: All three spots were shot in one ambitious production day, thanks to expert planning and a tight-knit crew.
Rapid Turnaround: Post-production — including edit, VFX, sound design, and grading — was completed within just five days, aligning with the fast-moving retail calendar.
Multi-Platform Delivery: Bespoke edits were crafted for multiple formats and screen sizes, enabling the campaign to be rolled out seamlessly across YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and other digital channels.
The Results
The campaign delivered outstanding performance across key brand and business metrics:
Engagement: The videos recorded over 2 million organic and paid views across platforms in the first month, with exceptionally high view-through rates — an indicator of genuine audience interest.
Brand Lift: e2save reported a measurable uplift in brand recall and perception, especially among price-sensitive 18–34-year-olds.
